I am taking part in the Opportunity International India Challenge Trek in September 2013 to give a hand up to women and children living in poverty in India. We will be trekking in the Himalayan Mountains at 5000 metres.

It will be big! It will be an adventure! It will be life-changing!

Most of all though, it will benefit 100s of women and their families in India get out of poverty. 

Instead of one meal a day....it might be two

It will be very challenging and I'm hoping you will sponsor me for such a great cause;

to help empower women to grow their own small businesses so they no longer have to struggle to afford food, water, healthcare and education for their children.

About the cause
The money raised will go to Opportunity International Australia who use a sustainable approach to solve poverty. Rather than a hand-out, they provide their clients with a loan as small as $100 to help them start or grow their small home-based business. This enables them to earn an income and improve their quality of life.

Our group has set a goal to raise over $30,000, which will give a hand up to at least 525 microfinance clients, impacting the lives of around 2,625 family members.
